WHAT TO DO
For
many of us, a holiday is about relaxing, exploring,
eating and drinking. This one ticks all the boxes.
Relaxing is easy in Rabac with its beaches, coves, sea
trips and opportunity to swim and sea bathe. In
addition, the apartment is a pleasant place to take it
easy with a
view that can
keep you amused
for hours on end.

Exploring is easy as driving is fun, parking is easy,
and
nowhere in Istria
takes hours to get to. There’s
a
whole list of
worthwhile places you’d need a
week to visit and there’s
not a trip from Rabac that doesn’t provide stunning
scenery, unusual sights and remarkable contrasts.

Eating
and drinking is a great experience and very close at
hand. You don’t have
to eat like the locals, but you can
if you want. Prsut (sort of an Italian-style smoked ham)
is a typical first course and fish (locally caught and
an abundant
choice) is often an inexpensive main
course. Bean soup provides a delicious lunch, and Istria
is famous for its
truffles (In
late September, about 3,000 truffle hunters and their
dogs comb damp woodland for the gourmet fungus).
There are more than 600 types of home-grown Croatian
wine, and local beer, which is pretty cheap, is served
chilled and refreshing. |
